Eco Collection Collaborator Focus: SESHNOTSTIGMA

As part of the eco collection, I've had the complete honour of working some amazing designers and small businesses, here in the UK and further afield.

One such business is SESHNOTSTIGMA.  SNS is couple Stacey and James' project which creates jewellery, belts, clocks and so much more out of, guess what?  Recycled skateboards!  I've used their beads as guru and marker beads in my Connection and Lila pieces (the latter of which is pictured here).

A little about SESH in their words:

'We handcraft all our pieces in our Yorkshire workshop from recycled skateboards. We support skateboarders, skateparks, community projects and charities through the purchasing of broken skateboards and tranform them into an array of awesome designs. We create all sorts of unique gifts from pendants, earwear, plugs, to belts, clocks, wall signs and homeware! We live and breath our craft and are always innovating. We also offer the best prices at the highest quality as we believe every single person should have an opportunity to own a mini piece of art that can bring them inspiration each time it is worn.

'Each design is created with the same passion and energy that each original skateboard was created and destroyed with. Our shop is bursting with the most unique and awesome mini pieces of art, that are a symbol of strength, endurance, solidarity and honour for all who are blessed to own a piece. There are a limited amount of any design created and we include the history of each piece.

'We want each person who wears SESH to reflect upon their own battles, however big or small these may seem to others. They need to look back to the place when they were perhaps at their weakest and remember how this time gave them the strength they possess today.'

You can find more of their work over on their Etsy page, but I warn you, you may find yourself over there for a while, their work is so incredible!

With love,

Helen x
