Sometimes in life it feels as if we are moving in unison with the tides, ebbing and flowing gently and harmoniously; other times it feel like we're stuff in a rip tide, endlessly whirling around and around, never moving, never stopping. The mala from my new eco collection is dedicated to following your own tides, your own rhythms and taking time to appreciate these as you move through your days.
It's all too easy to forgot to do this, to notice the little things and express gratitude for them - the moon, the sun, our hearts, our minds, friends, a smile, the list is endless and boundless.
I created this mala with the sea in mind. With a handmade ceramic pendant by Jill from Kiln Fired Art (go and have a look at her Etsy here for all her beautiful creations), sustainably-sourced imfibinga seeds, handmade glass beads made from beer bottles and recycled paper beads, made by the women's cooperative MzuriBeads in the Ugandan village of Ndejje, this piece feels soothing to both at and to feel.
£5 from the sale of this design will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage, the UK-based charity committed to cleaner oceans through community (more to come about them later this week).
All pieces will be released on Monday 22nd April (Earth day). Remember to sign up for the newsletter to get a first look.
Have a beautiful day, Helen x
